Week 1 – Kenmore at Howland
Friday, August 30, 2013
TIME: 7 p.m.

-Howland has won six straight league championships (2007 MAC, 2008-2012 AAC); however, this year will be much different without the leadership of their former coach Dick Angle patrolling the sidelines. When Angle stepped down in March, he suggested that the Tiger program be turned over to his former player (at Ursuline) and longtime assistant Dominic Menendez.
-Since 2000, Howland has only suffered through one losing campaign (2005: 4-6).
-Howland has won seven of their last eight regular season games. While, Kenmore finished 2012 by registering two victories in as many games.
-August: The Tigers have won four of their last five contests in the eighth month on the calendar. The Cardinals also have had success in August lately. Kenmore has posted wins in each of their last three games during this month.
-Last season T.K. Fortson (14.4), R.J. Robinson (9.5) and Jaquore Marrs (8.6) all rushed for over 8.5 yards per carry for the Tigers.
