Big changes coming to local bar

A big change is coming to a bar that has been around for more than 50 years in Trumbull County. The Lucky Inn on West Market Street is in the process of converting from a bar and restaurant to an ice cream shop.

The Cones and Bones will be a diner and ice cream shop. You can satisfy your sweet tooth and still get their famous chicken wings.

A major overhaul of the bar is planned for this fall, including a much brighter interior. Owner Judy Hannon said the bar business is not what it used to be.

“The laws are making it more difficult for people to come out and have a couple of drinks, and for this place specifically when Denman Tire closed across the street,” said Hannon. “It was a huge hit for this place. I am just trying to reach a much broader audience.”

Cones and Bones is expected to open Saturday, October 5.
