A Youngstown man previously convicted of raping a 7-year-old girl was indicted by a Mahoning County grand jury Thursday on a new rape charge.

Gollin Freeman, 38, of 36 Hilton Ave., was indicted Thursday on a first-degree felony rape charge and sexual predator specifications.

Freeman is not yet in custody.

Freeman, according to the indictment, raped a woman April 26.

Court records say Freeman was sentenced to nine years in prison in 2002 after he pleaded guilty to a first-degree felony count rape that alleged he had sexual contact with a 7-year-old girl in March 1999.
