Crestview rolls early and often

The Crestview Rebels looked to carry the momentum of a 10-0 campaign in 2012 with a week one victory against Beaver Local.

Crestview jumped on the scoreboard early, capitalizing on an early safety with a 35-yard Collin Gilbert touchdown run. The Rebels led 9-0 in the first quarter before Gilbert scored again from one yard out to make it 16-0.

Gilbert would go on to score his third rushing touchdown, also in the first quarter, with a 77-yard touchdown run. Crestview led 22-0 after the first quarter.

Gillbert got his first score through the air of the young season, connecting with Josh McDade for a 22-yard touchdown in the second quarter.

Crestview went on to win 36-7.
