A Girard woman died early Friday after crashing her car on Interstate 80 between Mercer and Hermitage.

Pennsylvania State Police said Sharla Ranttila, 24, was driving her 2006 Pontiac G6 at about 6 a.m. in the westbound lanes when she drove off the side of the road.

She struck an embankment, which caused the car to roll over several times.

Ranttila was wearing a seatbelt.
