Football-MatchUp-Hickory-Strong-Vincent

The Hickory machine keeps on ticking. Tonight, the Hornets opened the 2013 season with a 43-7 victory at Strong Vincent. Coach Bill Brest’s group has now won seven consecutive regular season games and are now 12-3 in their last 15 road match ups.

Strong Vincent has now dropped five in a row and are 0-5 since the beginning of last year.

Hickory (1-0) knocked off the Colonels last season, 44-24.

The two-time defending District 10 Class AA champs will play host to Greenville and Wilmington in the next two weeks. Strong Vincent will have their hands full as they travel to take on Cathedral Prep (defending PIAA Class AAA champs) and St. Ignatius over the next two weeks.
