Two early touchdowns helped Wellsville build a 14-0 lead over Toronto before going on for the season opening victory 31-6.
Zack Mellott put the first points of the year on the board for the Tigers with a 32-yard touchdown jaunt. The extra point was good and Wellsville was up 7-0.
Later in the frame, Wellsville went to the air as Jordan Sloan found Seth Bradford for a 24-yard touchdown pushing the lead to 14-0.

Wellsville held a 17-6 lead at halftime.
The score stayed that way until the 4th quarter when Jordan Sloan tossed his second touchdown pass of the game, a 10-yard strike to Camden Douglas. Wellsville’s lead was 24-6.
The Tigers added another touchdown in the fourth quarter to bring the score to its final count.
Wellsville will play Southern next week. The Indians were victorious against Waterloo in their opener, 19-7.
