Body of Penn officer, killed in crash, escorted

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — The body of a University of Pennsylvania police officer, killed in a motorcycle accident, is at a Philadelphia funeral home after an escort by police.

WPVI-TV reported Saturday (http://bit.ly/12WInnb ) that the casket containing the remains of 47-year-old Jimmy Morrison was taken to a funeral home in northeast Philadelphia on Friday night.

Morrison was a Penn campus police officer for six years, and led the local chapter of the Blue Knights Motorcycle Club.

Police say he was killed in the Thursday crash in Culpeper, Va., where he was attending the annual rally of the club, a law-enforcement group.
