Mahoning County dispatchers held a fundraiser in Boardman Saturday to benefit local children.

Cruisin’ for Crayons combines a school supply giveaway and car show. School supplies were given to students in the Boardman School district who are in need. A car show featuring classic, new and military vehicles was held at the same time. A petting zoo was also part of the fun.

“We just want to provide kids that are not able to get the supplies for whatever reason prepared for the first day,” said organizer Christy Anderson.

Anderson said they will hold the event every year for a different school district.
