Railing collapses at Ohio game; minor injuries

CINCINNATI (AP) — A bleacher railing collapsed at a high school football game in Cincinnati, causing minor injuries to at least two people.

The railing collapse Friday night happened during a football game at Sycamore Junior High School between two high school teams.

Two girls were taken to a local hospital when a fence in front of the student section of the bleachers collapsed at the end of the first half. They were treated and released.

Accounts of how many students altogether were injured vary from two to 12, but all injuries were minor.

A video posted by WLWT-TV shows students cheering and leaning on an over the railing before it gave way, causing a number of them to fall 3 or 4 feet off the bleachers and onto a track.
