-Howland shut out Kenmore in their season opener, 16-0. Tigers’ junior running back Jaquore Marrs scored from 95-yards away to finish the contest with nearly 250 stripes rushing.

-For Harding, it was a rough week one encounter with Fitch. The Falcons offense accumulated over 375 total yards and scored 27 points in the second quarter en route to a 48-0 victory. The Raiders offensive attack was held to almost 75 yards.

-The Raiders defense held Howland scoreless and their offense to only 96 total yards in a 34-0 road win for Harding on the last day of August one year ago.

-In that match up, Harding’s quarterback Lamar Carmichael completed 60% of his tosses (6-10) including a touchdown to Aaron Qualls.

-The previous year, De’Veon Smith ran for over 230 yards as the Tigers prevailed over the Raiders (16-15) in a game which was delayed by lightning.
