-Hubbard’s junior L.J. Scott ran for 330 yards and scored 4 touchdowns while intercepting a pass on defense in the Eagles’ 49-12 win over Lakeview. In their last two season openers, Hubbard has outscored their opponents 105-12.

-Girard opened the 2013 season with a disappointing 38-19 loss to the visiting Red Dragons. Niles led 28-0 in the third quarter as quarterback Kyle Paden threw for over 350 yards. Girard’s James Cupan finished with 2 touchdowns and topped the century mark on the ground.

-Hubbard has won seven of the last eight meetings with Girard.

-In last year’s meeting, Hubbard’s defense forced 4 turnovers (3 interceptions/1 fumble) and gained 331 yards of total offense in their 35-25 victory over Girard. Larry Scott led the Eagles with 196 yards on 16 carries. For the Indians, Jordan Graziano picked up 189 stripes with his legs and scored three total touchdowns.

-The year prior, the Indians’ defense held the home standing Eagles to just 81 total yards of offense in a 48-13 victory. Larry Scott was held in check as he gained just 19 yards rushing on 8 attempts. The Tribe had 4 takeaways and quarterback Dan Graziano gained nearly 375 total yards, in the first half alone.
