Police arrest Ohio suspect in triple stabbing

MAYFIELD HEIGHTS, Ohio (AP) — Police in northeast Ohio say they have arrested a man who allegedly stabbed three people.

Mayfield Heights Police on Monday said one of the three victims of the overnight episode identified the suspect as her former boyfriend and gave officers his description.

Police in the suburb east of Cleveland say witnesses described a vehicle that was located hours later unoccupied. At about 7:40 a.m. Monday an Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper observed an accident where the suspect was hit by a vehicle.

Police say the suspect was arrested and transported to an area hospital. Charges have not been filed against him.

Police say they responded to the scene after receiving a 911 call from a screaming person.

The victims were taken to a local hospital. Their identities haven’t been released.
