A Campbell woman was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center Monday afternoon with minor injuries after crashing into an electric pole on Wilson Avenue near Coitsville Road in Campbell.
Police said the woman, 20, claimed her brakes were bad, which caused the crash. However, police said the cause still is under investigation. They were not releasing the driver’s name.
The crash occurred about 2 p.m. Ohio Edison had to be called to come and remove the pole before the driver could be extricated from the Dodge Neon because the wires were still live.
Only one house had its power knocked out by the accident, but it was only off for a short time.
