A Warren man said a neighborhood bar has been causing him some sleepless nights.
Chris Alsbrooks lives next to the Two Hype Bar on Mahoning Avenue on the northwest side of Warren. Alsbrooks said he has complained about the noise coming from the bar for more than two years and nothing has been done about it. He has also collected dozens of complaints from others in the neighborhood.
“It’s the volume level and the time,” said Alsbrooks. “The volume gets loud enough to where I’m sitting in my living room with my back door shut, all my windows shut and I still have a hard time hearing my TV at night.”
Warren Safety Service Director Enzo Cantalamessa said when police have come out to check on the noise complaint, the decibel levels have been within acceptable range, pursuant to city ordinances.
City officials have had conversations with the bar owner as well as neighbors in the area about the noise. They hope an amicable solution can be reached.
