Two road construction projects will cause road closures and lane restrictions in parts of Canfield and Green Township.

A portion of Route 46 in Green Township will be closed for a bridge replacement.

The closure between Western Reserve Road and Leffingwell Road, just south of the Canfield Fairgrounds,  begins Wednesday, Sept. 4.

Detours will take motorist to Route 11 then to Route 224 and on to Route 46/U.S. Route 62.

The work is part of a $720,000 project to replace the Route 46 bridge and a culvert on Route 46 between Lesher Road and Route 165.

The entire project should be complete by November 2013.

A paving project on Route 224 is causing lane restriction through Canfield.

Resurfacing projects began Tuesday from Route 62 to Talisman Drive and Route 62 from Callahan Road to Scott Street.

This work is part of a $1 million project to resurface Route 224, Rotue 62, Talsman Drive and Route 62 in the city of Canfield.

The project is scheduled to be completed by October 2013.
