Springfield and Boardman battled on the volleyball court on Wednesday, and the Tigers were victorious, 3-2 (21-25, 25-21, 22-25, 25-19, 15-10).

Morgan Buchenic led the way at the net for the Tigers with 15 kills, two blocks, and five points. Her twin sister, Marissa, added 19 assists, 11 points, and two aces. Elizabeth Thompson also dished out 16 assists and had two points.
Boardman’s Megan Volosin had 19 kills and four aces. Amanda Lipke added 11 kills and four blocks. Faith Saunders had 41 assists, and Hope Landers had 28 digs. Back at the line, Katie Seeco had 15 service points.
Springfield improves to 6-2 on the year and will host Mineral Ridge on Thursday.
Boardman drops to 4-4 and will travel to Salem on Saturday.
