Elderly man’s home set on fire

An elderly Warren man’s home was partially set on fire on Wednesday.

Reports state the back porch of a 68-year-old man’s home in the 100 block of Ford Avenue N.W. was set on fire about 8:30 a.m.

The man told police he noticed flames coming from the porch and alerted authorities. The fire was quickly extinguished.

The fire damaged his screen door and left a scorch mark on the home.

Police are unsure who started the fire.
