Man robbed at gunpiont

Hermitage police are looking for a man accused of robbing someone walking home from Sharon early Thursday.

Police said the man was walking on Rombold Road near Mercer Avenue when a man approached him and asked to use his cell phone to call for a ride.

The man pretended to use the walker’s cell phone and then pulled out a gun and threatened him, police said.

The walker told the gunman he didn’t have any money. The gunman then stole the man’s wallet and bag that contained several DVDs.

The gunman was described as a black male with thin to average build with neatly cut hair and a goatee. Police said the man was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and jeans.

The gunman then got into a car described as an older silver or gray vehicle in poor condition with a piece of plastic covering the driver’s side window.
