The Quakers are off to a 2-0 start thanks to Caleb Quinn, who kicked the game-winning field goal with 4:05 remaining to give Salem a 24-21 win over United. The win marks the first time since 2010 that Salem is 2-0. The Quakers held off Liberty (27-25) last week.

Haedan Panezott led Salem in rushing with 114 yards on 17 carries. Trace Jenkins completed 6 of 11 passing.
United falls to 0-2 after losing in week one to Malvern (34-28) and now to Salem. Mike Martin and Garrett Beech rushed for 116 and 83 yards respectively. Beech tossed for 95 yards on 10 of 18.
The Quakers have defeated United 4 of the last 5 years.
Next up for Salem is a road trip to East Liverpool. The Golden Eagles will try and fly back onto course against Newcomerstown.
