Eastern Gateway Community College reported a record enrollment for the fall 2013 semester.
Officials said EGCC has 2,816 students enrolled at the college, an 11 percent increase from the school’s previous high of 2,532 in fall of 2012.
The student counts increased at all of its satellite locations in Steubenville, Youngstown, and Warren, the school said.
Full-time student enrollment is up 22 percent, officials said, bringing the total count to 1,414.
There were also 1,195 new students this year.
The college’s board of trustees also approved adding associate degrees and certificate programs in Natural Gas and Oil Technology. The state’s Board of Regents must approve the programs before they are added to the curriculum.
