A man tried to lure a 5-year-old Warren boy and his 12-year-old sister into his truck.
Reports say a man approached them at about 6:40 p.m. Thursday at the corner of Ohio Avenue and Ward Street N.W.
The man told the two to get in his truck, reports say. The two ran home and called 911, reports say.
The man was described as a black man driving a green Chevrolet pickup truck.
The kids’ mother told WKBN the boy went to talk to the man and his sister grabbed him and dragged him back into the house.
“She was worried about him going into the truck with him,” she said.
Three weeks ago, the mother of a 5-year-old girl told Warren police someone tried to coax her daughter into getting into his truck.
The woman told police that her daughter was playing at about in the front yard of their home in the 800 block of Belmont Street N.E. when a man in a red and silver or red and beige S-10-style pickup truck pulled up next to the girl.
Reports say the man, described as white and in his 50s or 60s with white hair, told the girl to “come here.” When the girl refused, he demanded she come to his truck, reports say.
The girl then went to her mother, who said she saw the truck pull away from the area.
