Three people went to the hospital after a crash in Canfield Saturday morning.

The accident happened around 9:45 a.m. and involved two vehicles.

Officers said Sean Stamateris, 20, turned left off of state Route 224 on to Summit Avenue in his Mustang. He crashed into a Honda van driven by Mary Fiorenza, 41.

Both drivers and Fiorenza’s 13-year-old passenger were transferred to St. Elizabeth Health Center with injuries.

Stamateris was cited for failure to yield.

Canfield Ohio State Highway Patrol, Canfield Fire Department and the Mahoning County Sheriff’s department all assisted in the crash.
