Youngstown church holds neighborhood celebration

A Youngstown church held an event to help get better acquainted with the community on Saturday.

The Beulah Baptist Church on Sherwood Avenue invited families from the neighborhood over for a few hours of live entertainment, free food and fellowship.

The church collaborated with Unity Baptist Church to organize the event. The goal was to get to know the neighbors better and become a part of the community.

“The beautiful part about it is there is a church here who wants to get involved with the neighborhood, who wants to help out the neighborhood, and every neighborhood needs a church like that,” said Pastor Rafael Cruz.

Beulah Baptist Church plans to hold the event every year.
