NOTEWORTHY
-Poland rebounded from a 21-7 deficit against Northwest to score the final 21-points of the game to win 28-21. With 5:45 remaining, Jacob Wolfe connected on a 44-yard touchdown toss to Tyler Evan to take the lead. The Bulldog defense permitted just 4.5 yards per play (257 yards on 57 offensive plays) while forcing 4 turnovers.

-The Spartans trailed by 14 (28-14) at the half to Mooney; however, were unable to get any closer as they fell to 0-2 following their 42-14 loss. Boardman’s defense allowed the Cardinals’ running game to nearly gain 400 yards.

-Poland has scored 63-points in their first two games, that’s the most since 2009 (65) which was also the last year the Bulldogs began 2-0 (7-0).

-Boardman last began 0-3 in 2005 (1-9).

-The Spartans have lost six games in a row by a combined score of 255-110.
