LEWISBURG, Pa. (AP) — A 29-year-old central Pennsylvania woman is behind bars after police say she led them on a nearly 35-mile pursuit and damaged several police cars.

Leslie Ann Arthurs of Sunbury is facing 40 counts, eight of them felony charges of aggravated assault and criminal mischief for the four police cruisers she allegedly hit. No police officers were injured.

She is also charged with reckless endangerment, fleeing and eluding authorities and other charges after a wild ride that happened early Saturday afternoon.

Pennsylvania State Police said the pursuit at times reached speeds of 75 miles per hour.

Arthurs is being held at the Union County Jail on $100,000 straight bail and could not be reached for comment.
