10,000 out of power

Officials say a high-voltage power line between Struthers and Poland Township snapped, causing 10,000 customers to lose power.

Police said a high-voltage wire snapped between Struthers and Poland on state Route 616 near Beachwood Drive.

A First Energy spokesperson said they are still investigating the cause but are aware of the high-voltage line.

The spokesperson said 10,000 people lost power at about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. Many were quickly restored.
