Boy, 15, guilty of robbing immigrant’s Pa. market

ERIE, Pa. (AP) — A 15-year-old boy has pleaded guilty to adult charges that he helped three others rob a northwestern Pennsylvania market run by an Asian immigrant family.

Shyheem Pacely, of Erie, faces up to 27 years in prison when he is sentenced Oct. 28 by an Erie County judge.

The Erie Times-News (http://bit.ly/1dYeTvj ) reports Pacely pleaded guilty Monday to theft and criminal conspiracy for his part in the Nov. 3 heist at the Himalaya Market.

That’s when authorities say Pacely and three other masked robbers burst in with two guns and stole $2,500 and a laptop computer.

One of the owners, a native of Bhutan, had previously testified the robbery eroded his family’s confidence in the safety of their adopted homeland.
