LORAIN, Ohio (AP) — Police say a northeast Ohio man was slashed across the stomach with a razor in an apparent case of mistaken identity.
Lorain police say an attacker apparently mistook the victim for his brother, who had been arrested earlier.
The victim has been treated at a hospital. Police are looking for the suspect.
The Morning Journal (http://bit.ly/14BuLAC ) reports the attack happened early Sunday as the victim was walking home from a party. He told police a driver pulled up, called him by his brother’s name and offered him a ride. Police say the victim accepted but didn’t correct the driver about the name.
When the man exited the vehicle, one of the three people inside reportedly sliced him with a razor. Police said the cut was 8 to 10 inches long.
