Drug raid nets 2 arrests

Two Wellsville residents are facing charges after law enforcement raided their home on Wednesday and found $12,000 worth of drugs.

John Dunlap, 29, and Stefan White, 30, both of 402 Ninth Street, were arrested on charges after a four-month long investigation by the Columbiana County Drug Task Force.

Dunlap is facing charges of first-degree felony drug possession and third-degree felony possessing a weapon despite past criminal convictions. White is facing a fifth-degree felony drug possession charge.

The task force said they found 65 grams of cocaine, 214 Oxycodone prescription pain pills, a semiautomatic pistol and $2,500 cash in their home.

The county sheriff, the state’s Bureau of Criminal Investigation, Wellsville police and the Drug Enforcement Agency all helped with the investigation.

The drug task force, along with BCI and the DEA, also found 235 marijuana plants during a marijuana eradication effort on Tuesday, the task force said.

They found the plants in Center, Franklin and Wayne townships. The plants yield a street value of more than $235,000, the task force said.

Charges in those cases are pending an investigation.
