Businesses hoping to cash in on the oil and gas boom in our area will converge on the Covelli Centre Thursday.
The Regional Chamber of Commerce will hold its third Youngstown Ohio Utica Natural Gas Expo.
A Casino Night reception was held Wednesday night at the Holiday Inn in Boardman. Nearly 100 businesses involved in the gas and oil drilling industry are participating this year.
“In three years, we have established ourselves as a good conference for bringing businesses together for the oil and gas industry,” said Tony Paglia,Regional Chamber Vice President of Government and Media Affairs.
Paglia said past conferences have focused on the production and processing part of drilling. Thursday, the focus will be on what happens now that the drilling has started.
Nearly 1,000 people are expected to attend the event.
