New racino in NE Ohio seeks to fill 600-plus jobs

NORTHFIELD, Ohio (AP) — A northeast Ohio harness racing facility that is adding slots-like gaming later this year is looking to fill more than 600 full- and part-time jobs.

Candidates must apply online for the jobs in food service, security and other areas at the racino in Northfield, between Akron and Cleveland. The facility also was having a Thursday job fair where interested workers could see the racino and connect with hiring managers.

The Hard Rock Rocksino is scheduled to open in mid-December with more than 2,200 video lottery terminals, restaurants and a comedy club.

It’s one of several racinos opening around the state. One in Lebanon in southwest Ohio also is slated to open in December.
