State police arrest man in 2 W. Pa. bank heists

ARMAGH, Pa. (AP) — State police say they’ve charged a man with robbing two western Pennsylvania banks, but have yet to release details on his arrest.

Troopers from Ebensburg planned to release additional information Thursday on the robberies in Armagh, Indiana County, and Cresson, Cambria County.

The S&T Bank in Armagh was robbed about 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, while the First National Bank in Cresson was robbed about 1 p.m. Wednesday.

Police say the robber threatened tellers with a knife in the Armagh robbery.

Police have said the man has confessed to the robberies, but they’ve yet to release his name or details on how he was caught.
