CENTERVILLE, Pa. (AP) — An autopsy has been set on the body of a woman found face-down in the shallow water along a riverbank behind her western Pennsylvania home.
Washington County Coroner Tim Warco says 59-year-old Peggy Redmond reportedly left for a walk about 5 p.m. Wednesday and was found by her husband about two hours later after she didn’t return as expected.
Centerville police and Warco’s office are investigating.
The coroner says a ruling on the woman’s cause of death is pending the autopsy and addition investigation by authorities.
Emergency crews worked to resuscitate the woman who was pronounced dead at Monongahela Valley Hospital about an hour after she was found.
