Winery back in business

A popular place to eat and grab a glass of wine is now open again in Poland Township.

Luva Bella is once again serving customers at its location on Route 224, just before the Pennsylvania line.

The bistro is best known for being the Youngstown area’s first and only California style winery.

Owners shut down the restaurant for two weeks for an expansion they hope will help them better serve lunch and dinner.

“We added 600 square feet for the kitchen and in that time, we added a lot more kitchen space for catering as well as decreasing the time for waiting in our restaurant,” said Charles Crespi, Luva Bella winemaker.

Luva Bella also added 13,000 square feet to its winery during the construction. They hope to distribute their wine with Superior Beverage within the next year.
