Preparations for the second WaterFire Sharon event in downtown Sharon are under way.

The event begins Saturday at 11 a.m. This weekend the theme is “WorldFire.” Displays, vendors, food and entertainment are scheduled throughout the day.

Water Fire Sharon Executive Director Dayna Shaw Sear said spectators can expect to experience cultures from around the world at the event. Strolling violinists, belly dancers and live musical performances are just a few of the highlights planned.

“Come and experience the world right here in Sharon on the State Street Bridge. We’ll have all sorts of entertainment all day long,” said Shaw Sear. “You name it, it’s here.”

WaterFire Sharon begins at 11 a.m. and runs through 11 p.m. The water cannon lighting ceremony will begin at 7:30 p.m.
