Jail space to be revamped for CCW permits

drug leader in Knox County
Christopher Matheson was charged as one of the leaders of a drug ring in Ohio.

The Columbiana County Sheriff has designated a part of the jail for the processing of concealed carry permits.

County commissioners approved the $32,000 project to turn a portion of the jail into office space where applications can be distributed and processed.

Currently permit applications are handled through the courthouse and the jail.

The project will be funded with CCW permit fees.
