Rams blank Southern Local

MINERAL RIDGE – After nearly three quarter of scoreless play, Mineral Ridge’s offense solved the Southern defense to pull away for a 24-0 win.

Tied at zero well into the third quarter, Mineral Ridge finally cracked the score board on a 21 yard field goal.

Later in the quarter, the Rams’ Josh Goss punched it in from one yard out to push the lead to 10-0.

Then, with less than five minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, the Rams’ Jonathan Baker connected on a 38 yards out for the score.

Mineral Ridge will travel to Lowellville next week.
