Families had the chance to learn about the great outdoors Saturday in Boardman.
It was a part of the annual Armstrong Antlers and Anglers show in Boardman Park.
Kids could hangout with a petting zoo, fish and shoot a bow.
The first 200 children received a fishing pole.
Organizers said that this was a great way for kids to get a taste of outdoor activities.
“What we have learned is fishing and hunting is a family sport. It is a tradition that is passed on and on. This is an easy way to introduce your children to it and have some fun as an adult,” said Krista White.
The event also featured live music and demonstrations.
