Mercer jumped out to a 22-0 first half lead en route to a 42-16 victory over Kennedy Catholic Saturday afternoon.

Leading 6-0 in the 2nd quarter, the Mustangs scored again when quarterback Logan Clarke connected on a 35-yard touchdown pass to Jared Davis.  The two-point conversion was good and it was 14-0.

Later in the quarter Zane O’Brien took a short screen pass and turned it into a 20-yard touchdown.  Another two-point conversion was good leaving halftime score at 22-0.

Mercer scored twice in the first three minutes of the second half to put this one out of reach.  Kennedy Catholic posted two fourth quarter touchdowns and a pair of two-point conversions to bring the score to its final count.
