Youngstown Christian falls in shootout

Youngstown Christian found themselves on the wrong side of shootout Saturday night against Streetsboro, falling 41-36 to the Rockets.

The Eagles found some offense in Week 3 behind senior quarterback Paris Bennett. He completed 14 of 19 passes for 312 yards and 4 touchdowns. However, Bennett also had 2 interceptions and a costly fumble at the end of the game.

Six foot five Kentucky recruit Tymere Dubose showcased his talent on both sides of the ball, recording 2 tackles for loss, and one sack on defense, as well as 175 yards receiving with 2 touchdowns on offense.

The Rocket’s ground game proved to be the difference. Streetsboro ran for 423 yards as a team.

With the loss, the Eagles drop to (0-3) on the season. They host Grand Valley on Saturday Week 4.
