One person is dead after an automobile accident Sunday night in Youngstown.

Delouis Clark III, 31, of Youngstown, who was the passenger in the car, died in the crash, police said on Monday.

Witnesses said at about 6:30 p.m. a white car was speeding down Indianola Avenue, lost control and flipped over, crashing into a building on Hunter Avenue.

Police said the driver, 19-year-old Deone Cray, of Youngstown, left the scene of the crash and went on his own to a hospital to be treated for minor injuries. Cray then later returned to the scene. Charges are pending against him, police said.

Youngstown police and fire crews cut the passenger out of the car. The victim was transported to the hospital, where he died.

No other vehicles were involved. Officers set up crime scene tape to keep people away from the scene.
