The eyes of the country and here in the Valley were fixated Sunday night on Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City for the Miss America Pageant.

Heather Wells of Howland introduced herself to the nation as Miss Ohio. While announcing the 15 finalists in the competition, one of the hosts even asked Wells a question. But unfortunately, she didn’t make it past the first round.

Heather is a 2007 graduate of Howland High School and went to Kent State University. She also interned at WKBN and WYTV in the summer of 2012.
