Charges filed in break-ins


Weathersfield police have filed charges against a Youngstown man suspected of breaking into several sheds.

Police issued an arrest warrant for Bradley S. Salus, 35, on a charge of fifth-degree felony breaking and entering.

Weathersfield police said they believe Salus is responsible for breaking into several sheds in the Woodland Trails area.

Salus, according to a search of court records, has spent several stints in prison and is currently facing a felony breaking and entering charge in Mahoning County.

Salus has been convicted of burglary in 1997, grand theft in 1999, three counts of burglary in 2002, grand theft in 2007 and breaking and entering in 2012.

He was sentenced to three years in prison for the burglary conviction in 2002.

Salus is facing a felony breaking and entering charge in Mahoning County Court. He is scheduled for a pretrial hearing in that case on Oct. 1.
