Non-profits attend summit

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – A summit for non-profit organizations was held on Thursday at Youngstown State University.

The program was part of the annual Raymond John Wean Foundation Summit. More than 300 non-profits from around the Valley attended the summit to learn how to better serve their communities. It also gave them a chance to find out some of the new trends in non-profit organizations.

Jennifer Roller, interim president of the Wean Foundation, said the speakers continue to get better each year.

“It’s the type of programming and the facilitators that come. We have the chance to bring people to the table that folks in the Valley may not typically get to hear and see their work,” said Roller.

This was the seventh year for the event.
