2 injured in Route 224 crash

BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) — Two people were taken to the hospital after a three-vehicle crash on Route 224 in Boardman.

The accident happened just before 11 a.m. on Friday in front of St. Charles Church just west of the Market Street intersection.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, two SUVs and a Chevy Cruze crashed in the eastbound turning lanes. The woman in driving the Cruze may have had a medical problem. Her vehicle rolled down Route 224 after the crash, coming to a stop about 100 yards away.

Two people were transported to the hospital.
