Bar beating under investigation

GIRARD, Ohio (WKBN) — Police said they are close to an arrest in the case of a man badly beaten at a bar earlier this week.

Amos Gramelt, 29, told police he doesn’t remember much but said he was at the Wonder Bar on Liberty Street Tuesday evening when he was assaulted. Employees of the bar cleaned him up and put him in his car to drive home, according to reports.

His parents found him in his bed a couple hours later severely bloody. Gramelt is currently in the intensive care unit at St. Elizabeth Health Center  with a fractured skull, facial fractures and bleeding in the brain.
