Rockets win shootout


LOWELLVILLE – The Rockets took an early lead against Mineral Ridge and held on in what became a shootout, 34-31.

In the first, Jesse Terwillliger takes it in from 12 yards out to give the Rockets the lead at 7-3.

Then, in the second, it was the Rockets’ quarterback Alex Harklerode who found the endzone form 26 yards out.

The Rams, however, refused to give in. Jonathan Baker connected with Corey Phillips on a 62 yard touchdown pass.

Later in the quarter, they would connect again, this time from 14 yards out.

Lowellville will look to keep their momentum going next week when they travel to Leetonia.

Mineral Ridge travels to Sebring on Friday.
