YCS earns first win

Youngstown Christian defeated Grand Valley 40-28 Saturday evening, notching their first win of the season.

Grand Valley scored early in the first quarter on a 50-yard touchdown pass.  The extra point was no good leaving the score at 6-0.

Youngstown Christian was able to tie the game in the third quarter on a 32-yard touchdown pass to Darien Townsend.  The extra point was no good.

Later in the third quarter Towsend struck again on a 70-yard touchdown reception as the Eagles pushed the advantage to 13-6.

Townsend finished the game with 151 yards receiving and two touchdowns.  He also added 90 yards rushing and another TD.

Youngstown Christian improves to 1-3 on the season.
