CHAMPION, Ohio (WKBN) – The Ohio State Patrol has released the names of the victims involved in a three-vehicle accident in Champion on Sunday.

Troopers said Dale Calvin, 84, of Warren, was traveling on Cleveland Street around 2 p.m. when he attempted to cross Route 45 and hit a vehicle driven by a 15-year-old driving student who was traveling south on Route 45.

The car driven by the student then hit another vehicle driven by Debra Stakey, 59, of Warren.

Calvin was ejected from the pickup truck he was driving and was flown by medical helicopter to an area hospital.

The student driver and a passenger in Stakey’s vehicle were taken to the hospital by ambulance with minor injuries.
